Book Signing a Success for Author
Ramelle T. Lee

Ms. Ramelle T. Lee is a “Called and Ready Writer.” On Saturday, March 25, 2006, she introduced her first book, “Step Into His Greatness,” at her book signing. The event was a grand celebration held at her church, Greater Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Detroit, Michigan. Reverend Randolph Thomas is her pastor.

As soon as her book was printed, Ramelle’s church, family, and friends, were supportive of it. However, she wanted to have a celebration that everyone could enjoy.

After all, this book was written for the Glory of God. Therefore, over 160 invitations were sent for her book signing.

Much preparation was done for this special event. Ramelle displayed items from her poetry from God. She has published 22 anointed poems. They can be purchased in single print or in a selected decorative frame. It was a wonderful opportunity to showcase and share what God has done to minister to the hearts of His people. At this celebration, Ramelle gave each guest her poem, “Chase the Dream Maker.” The atmosphere was full of excitement.

Her pastor, Reverend Thomas, asked Ramelle to have remarks. The highlight was when she spoke about her mother, Mrs. Barbara Lee, and the support she gave to ensure that this book was published. It was an extremely heart touching moment for Ramelle. She remarked, “It is such a blessing to have my mother watch this dream become a reality!”

Mrs. Wanda J. Burnside, the president of The Called and Ready Writers, also attended this book signing, along with her husband Mr. Simmie L. Burnside.

Ramelle’s twin brother, Rev. Lovell Lee and his wife, Annette Lee were there. Other relatives from Wayne and Ypsilanti, Michigan were in attendance.

Special thanks and acknowledgment goes to many dear people. Without the hard work of Ms. Tommie Legge and Ms. Barbara Reynolds, who provided great support and kept everything running smoothly at the book table, this event would not have been such a complete success. Ramelle’s dear friends served as hostesses. They were wonderful to help serve everyone. Many thanks is extended to Yolanda F. Rodgers, Tonya Taylor, Jennifer Taylor, Beatrice Broadnax and Barbara Pritchett for their assistance.

The church’s janitor, Mr. George Hunter, was in charge of the room arrangements in the Reverend Jesse Mack Fellowship Hall. Ramelle deeply appreciates her church family, friends, and relatives for supporting her writing ministry for God.

The color scheme was red and gold taken from the cover of her book. Mrs. Gail Mayberry, also on the board of The Called and Ready Writers and an author, designed a beautiful gift basket honoring Ramelle’s accomplishment. Gail titled it, “Ramelle’s Comfort Collection.” This basket was a show stopper! Gail is the founder of “Basket Favors.”

God blessed Ramelle to have many make contributions to her book signing. Mrs. Lula White’s cakes were delicious. She artistically displayed a photograph of Ramelle on one cake and a picture of her book on the other. Mrs. Frances Pippins donated four fruit and nut loaf cakes to enhance the food table. Everyone enjoyed this added treat. Mrs. Zelda Jones, the food caterer, prepared nine large elegant salads of tuna, chicken, and seafood pasta. Mrs. Louise Johnson furnished the festive punch for this event.

Over 70 digital pictures were taken by Ms. Barbara Nichols. She also provided instant picture proofs so that Ramelle immediately could share them with her guests and family. It was especially exciting how Barbara captured all of her Kodak moments on a disk which she titled, “Step Into His Greatness by Author Ramelle T. Lee.” This is something that Ramelle will always treasure.

In conclusion, about 50 books were sold. It was amazing to see the long lines of people waiting to purchase her powerful prophetic message book Step Into His Greatness. Ramelle’s book continues to be sold in her city and state.

God has opened doors for her book to be sold across the United States. Step Into His Greatness has made its way to Freeport Grand Bahamas, and Winnipeg, Manitoba (Canada).
