Lord, I want to be an over comer,
Conqueror, and on top.
But how can I when I’m always
Feeling like a victim and a flop!

Seems like more things happen to me
To bring me down and not up.
Sometimes I feel just like
I can’t handle this full bitter cup.

I try to make the most of the difficult
situations that come my way,
But Lord, they keep coming too fast;
They happen day after day.

I want to be found praising You
and standing strong,
But my faith withers and most of the time
I fret about what has gone wrong.

I need to keep my faith up.
Walk in the storms in life
And learn how to wait on You
to make things all right.

I want to be better.
I believe that I can.
Lord, I’ve got to have a testimony
that proves that I am in demand!

But, I can admit to one thing
And that’s the solid truth,
I’ll stay messed up
If I don’t put my trust in You!
